Back from Choir Camp.

Day 1

Started the camp with the committee members meeting up at 8.30am. Then 9am, attendance was taken and grouping was done. My group members were: Me, Gary, Wan Jia, Rebecca, Evie, Bo Yu, Joelle, Sakinah, Atiqah and some others whom I forgot. We had some ice-breakers and then had a mass game of Cling-Cling after that. With a few minutes of rest after the Cling-Clng, we proceeded to Captain's Ball. The whole choir was divided into 4 groups. Then we went for R & R and then had lunch at 12pm. The food was quite ok, except that no drinks were provided. At that time, we realized that the key to the music room was missing. Then after lunch, some of the committee members went up to the music room, only to find that the key was still in the keyhole of the music store. At 1pm, we had sectionals until 2pm when Mr Liew arrived. The combined practice took a long time but ended at 5pm. We then had dinner and bathing from 5-7pm. Dinner was not as bad as well. It was said that this year's camp food was much better than last year's. Wei Hao and I discovered a new and quicker way of bathing without having to follow the queue. I shall not go in-depth on it. Then combined practice again with Mr Liew from 7-10pm. We were then sent to our 'suites' to get some rest. Some people did not manage to sleep at all.

Day 2

The wake-up time was supposed to be 7.30am but because some of the seniors had to go for lessons, everything was brought forward. PT started at 7.30am with Wei Hao and I leading. Then about 8am+, breakfast was given. Each of us were given a Chocolate and a Sweet Corn bun. With nothing else to do, Wei Hao and I gave them R & R until 9am and we went up to the music room to do the movie screening. We watched School of Rock. It was a pretty nice show as it tells of how a rocker restarted his career through temping (working as a temporary) in a prestigious school. He led a group of students from the class he was teaching to form a band after hearing how well they played during music lessons. I missed the ending as I had to go off for lesson. We just had revision of the Geometrical Transformation and then we were released at 12pm, half an hour earlier than the schedule. Join for lunch with the other students. Then 1pm had sectionals again followed by Mr Liew's combine practice. He seemed rather angry as a lot of people were not singing to his standard. After dinner break, he sort of had mood change and bought sweets for us as a reward for working so hard during the camp. He also ended choir practice at 9pm, one hour earlier than the schedule. We were de-briefed and allowed to go home. Wei Hao, Yi Wen and I waited for Sarah's parents to come and fetch her home as she said her parents were a bit paranoid and afraid that she would go missing if she were to go home alone. Ms Lee told me that I had to find out my blood type for the NZ trip, saying that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs needed to know for some reasons.
