9th JuneReached the airport at about 6.00pm to have dinner with the sec 4s who were going to NZ as well as those sending us off. Headed to McDonald's to have one final meal. Back at the meeting area, we got our passports and checked in our luggage. We then headed to the boarding gate to prepare for boarding. Once on the plane, we got to our seats. I had the window seat and beside me was Eda and Yi Jie. Took an 8-10 hour flight on SIA direct to New Zealand. There was a school of Japanese school students on board the same plane as us. The dinner was pretty nice. Mine was some chicken noodle. After that, played some of the games on the plane as well as watching movies.
10th JuneThe next morning, breakfast was served. I chose the omelette one. Reach NZ at approximately 10.45am. The weather was pretty okay at the start. Got onto our coach. Quite comfy. Our first stop was Mount Eden. It was quite cold up there. My ears almost froze. There was a crater in the Mt. Eden and there were rocks that form the word 'crater' on it. Then we went through the CBD. Had time to do a little shopping. Then we headed for the Museum. There were many wonderful display. Coincidentally, the group of Japanese school students were at the museum as well. After that, we headed for our first accomodation, YHA Auckland. The room was pretty big, except that the toilets were along the corridors and that it was only a few cubicles available for use.
