NEW YEAR'S EVE EVENT 1

Met Crystal, Hong Yuan, Ming Shu and You Yang at Bukit Batok MRT at 12.30pm. Initially they wanted to go to pool at the country club one but Crystal and You Yang were not allowed in as they were not 16 yet. Then we took the bus to Bukit Timah and tried to go to the Amusement Leisure Club to play. Sadly, there was some change in the rules and new members who want to sign up had to wait for at least 2 weeks before they are allowed to play there. Then we decided to try IRC. Fortunately, one member was allowed to bring in up to 3 non-members and as You Yang and I were members, we could bring in everyone. Played for about 3 hours there before we left.

Next morning, Coach Vincent went to buy prata for us as breakfast at 8am+. Then after breakfast, Hao Meng and Jaryl continued sleeping till 12pm. Guo Hong, Hong Hui, Michelle and I played some games with the poker cards. Coach Vincent's mum made porridge for us all. Left at 2pm. Rushed home and changed, then met Aik Hao, Benedict, Wei Cheng and Ashilah at Yew Tee MRT station followed by Marsiling to pick Alvin up. Alighted at Orchard and walked around. Saw a lot of familiar faces. First was Yan Han at Long John Silver at Far East Plaza. Second was Pearlynn, some where in Far East Plaza, though I didn't see her but she saw me instead. Third was Leonard at Tangs. Walked towards Paragon and Heeren and then met Pei Qi and Xian Feng. On the way, saw Ferdinand and his siblings and mother. At Paragon, we saw Asyiqin. Walked to Plaza Singapura and then took the train back to Somerset. On the train, saw Sean and his mother. Aik Hao, Ashilah and Benedict went home early. Then me, Alvin, Xian Feng, Wei Cheng and Pei Qi went to play pool at Cineleisure. Jia Hao joined us around 10pm. Played until 11pm before we left.

First time went town with this group of friends and was quite fun. Hope to have more of this outings again.

CHRISTMAS BBQ!!!!!!

This year's Christmas was celebrated with a BBQ at Coach Vincent's house.

Reached there about 4.30pm+. Hong Hui and Colin were playing pool while Hao Meng, Jaryl, David, Guo Hong, Jowen, Jasper and Ren Zoe were watching this movie called Battle Royale upstairs. Shortly after, Zhi Yong, Yao De, Melissa, Danielle, Gim Hong, Karen and Li Jun (kinda forget whether she came or not). After the movie, we went down to help with the preparation for the BBQ. Then more people arrived. Not really a lot of variety of food but the food were quite nice. Jowen was the first one who wanted to go swimming. Had to watch over him as the adults were worried if no one watches over the kids. Then Bryan and his brother, Ren Zoe, Wayne, Jasper, Justin and his brother Jazz (dunno how to spell his name) went in as well. After that, played pool until 10pm before we went back up. Played with Poker cards and the forfeit was to drink the red wine. We finished the whole bottle after a few games. That night, those staying were me, Guo Hong, Hong Hui, Jaryl, Hao Meng and Michelle. I slept at around 1am+ as I didn't catch much sleep the previous day, sleeping only from 6am-8am. Michelle slept early as well. The others re-watched Battle Royale again.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Christmas is here once again. Presents!! Carols!! Turkey!! Share the joy of Christmas. Spread the Christmas spirit.

My Christmas Eve was spent on working. Met Alvin at CCK at 4pm. Then took the train to Tiong Bahru and bus to Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. As usual, Edwin was late again. Today's work was rather tiring. Had lots of plates to clear. And we had to wear the Santa hat for duty. We were supposedly released at 11pm but was made to help in setting the plates for the next day's buffet. Following that, we left the building quickly to meet Wei Cheng, Wei Yao, Xian Feng, Jia Hao and Choon Tat at E2Max. Upon reaching Somerset, we tried to run to Cineleisure to make it in time for the countdown but we missed it. Played an hour of LAN there. After leaving the building, we tried to rush for the train but it was closed. Saw Kenric there as well with his group of friends. Then we walked over to Ngee Ann City where Night Rider buses were available. Xian Feng was first to get on his bus. Jia Hao and Choon Tat went over to Alvin's house I suppose. Finally, the bus towards CCK arrived. Edwin and I went over to the usual Food Court to have supper. Reached home about 4am.

Sorry to some people for waking you guys up with the Xmas greetings. Was supposed to be sent around 12am but my phone went haywire so only managed to send them around 5am+.

1 more day counting down.

It's Christmas Eve!!!!!!
Christmas is drawing near, meaning PRESENTS!!!!!

But all I want for Christmas is for people around me to have an enjoyable and memorable Christmas and also enjoy the years to come. Presents or not, it no longer matters to me. It's the thought that counts. Christmas isn't just about giving and receiving presents. I'd rather not receiving presents given for the sake of giving.

THE CARPET HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!

After so many months of waiting, the carpet has finally arrived. Went for training in the morning. Training under Coach Jun Ming was very tiring. Did one whole Spear Routine, followed by two half Changquan Routine. Then had to do some exercise to strengthen the abs. After lesson ended, the carpet arrived. Helped to move it down from the truck and unpackaged it. Tried to do freehand cartwheel but failed. Went for lunch at Food Republic at Vivo City with a group of Wufang people: Coach Vincent and his girlfriend, Coach Xin Ru, Coach Xue and his wife, Jaryl, David, Li Jun, Danielle, Jin Hong and Yao De. Got discount at the Western Food stall as one of the boss was Ren Zoe's dad. Stayed around and chat with the others. Left at around 4.30pm. Reached CCK at about 5pm. I finally got my pay for the first half of the month!!!!! $190!!!!!

Second day at Cafe.

Today's work at Cafe was slightly busier than the previous day. The only people whom I know better there were only Rey and Atikah. None of the Unity people were working today. At the start, there were not much guests around so I was asked to wipe the glasses and cutleries for about an hour plus I think. Then was asked to help in the clearing of the plates and such. Ended around 11pm before I left the hotel.

*sigh* Why wasn't I told I was working alone today......

I kinda like working in the Cafe. Firstly, we are not rushed to finish everything. Secondly, the managers were friendlier and also did not use much vulgarities. Thirdly, we are always released on time, at most 15 minutes past 11pm. If you are not working OT that event, the managers would not make you work OT.

Today at work.

Reached GCW hotel around 5pm+. Then changed for pass and clothes. Saw Wan Jia and Jia Min. Jia Min was working at the fourth floor Grand Ballroom while Wan Jia was working with me at the Cafe. First day working at Cafe and it was quite relax. The managers were both Indians but they did not use much vulgarities as the banquet managers. Was assigned to a few tables at Station 3. Was kinda new to working in the Cafe, but it was similar to buffet except that I never had work for buffet during the times in banquet. Managed to get help from a few others who were seniors in this area. Time passed really slow, but the buffet ended at around 9pm+. During the remaining period of time before 11pm, I was asked to help in moving chairs from the first floor to the second level, along with Charavin and Rey. Made friends with them and chatted a lot. We were like very slacked there. Every time we moved up to the second level, we took a few minutes of break. At 10pm+, we decided to speed up our work. Unfortunately, when we had moved up majority of the chairs, we were told that the room we had put the chairs in was to be used for a function in the next morning, so we had to move all the chairs out. Fortunately, the manager in charge of us told us to move as much as we can until 11pm and we were then released. Waited for Wan Jia and Jia Min before we left the hotel. Upon leaving the building, we saw that there were many people queuing to enter the Zouk. The queue stretched into the car park of the hotel.

Didn't really want to update my blog this few days. But decided to do so to keep it alive.

This post would be about the chalet that I went on Monday and Tuesday.

Met Qi Huang, Wei Cong and Zi Gui at Woodlands MRT. Then we took the bus 168 to Tampines. While on the way there, the bus took a wrong turn and in the end we reached the Tampines at around 8.30pm. Switch over to MRT to Pasir Ris. Then walked to the chalet. Once there, BBQ was almost ending, so we just ate whatever was left. That night, only the younger generation stayed behind. The adults all went back. Didn't sleep until about 4-5am.

The next morning, Bao Cheng arrived with Felicia at 7am. Then the kids went to swim at around 11am. After that, around 4pm, a group of us went to play pool. The kids couldn't get in as they were not of age. We only managed to smuggle in Wan Ying and Qi Huang. At night, there was BBQ again. Pizza was also ordered that night. Around 11pm+, we cleared the chalet and went home.

I am a nocturnal animal.

Met Zheng Yang at 3.30pm at CCK once again. Reached the hotel early. Rested for a while before heading for food in the canteen. Then went up to 4th floor to sign in. Zheng Yang was doing the second floor ballroom while I was doing the third floor one, with Hua Dong and Allan. I was under Wei Liang. The dinner was a celebration for some company. Everything ended rather late, slightly beyond 11pm. While clearing, I broke a show plate and a tea cup. Cleared it up quickly and then was asked to help Guo Lun in moving some thngs for the events next day. Carried a lot of glass tables and moved the dance floor from 4th floor down. Had supper at around 1am+. Then continued moving the things. Guo Lun was kind to give us some water break when he saw us getting a bit tired. Finished preparing everything around 3.15am. The group of us were given a lecture by Wei Liang before he let us off. Ran around the hotel to find Zheng Yang and eventually we met and he had to work slightly longer so I went home first.

....My black shoes spoilt again. This time even more destroyed.

Wushu grading today.

Reached there early today. Saw this two large wooden rectangular crates with Wufang logo in the hall. When Kai Lun arrived, we opened a bit and saw it was empty. Supposed to be the box for keeping the carpet that would be arriving soon. I supposed it was made by Jowen and Jasper's father seeing that he was there and Coach Vincent talked with him about it. The carpet would be arriving in about 2 more weeks from what I heard. Then grading began. First up was the 2nd international changquan routine, which meant that we, the adult class, went first. My routine was a bit screwed up. After that, watched as the other kids did their routines for grading. Then for my spear, I screwed up a bit as well. Went for supper at Newton Food Center.

Sigh, have to work tomorrow, if not, I could actually have time to help in moving things from Coach Vincent's old house to his new house, which I preferred doing.

Starting with Monday's post.

Monday
Met Yao De, Li Jun, Shi Ying and Danielle at City Hall MRT at 6pm+. Then took the train to Tanah Merah MRT where we waited for the taxi to come as there is no bus going directly into the chalet we are going to and the shuttle bus would be arriving in like more than half an hour. Quite a few of the drivers do not know how to get in there. After a few taxis had passed, we finally got on one and reached National Service Resort and Country Club shortly. It is one of the best chalet I have been to, though this one seems rather expensive. The bowling arena, billiards room, pool room and arcade are just near each other. Once at the unit 16, where the Wufang kids' mothers were there with all the food ready. Coach Vincent and his girlfriend, Coach Wen Xin were also there early. Upon reaching the chalet, Coach Xin Ru and her daughter arrived as well. Then Jaryl, Hao Meng, Iman, Guo Hong and Bing Han arrived. Ate quite a lot there. Then me, Jaryl, Hao Meng, Guo Hong, Yao De and Iman went to the Pool room to play. On our way there, Coach Xue and his wife had just arrived. After a few rounds of pool, we played bowling before going back to the chalet. While we were alway, they were already BBQing and when we got back, which was around 10.30pm, the food was already BBQed and most of the people had left, leaving only the parents of the kids and them. Watched Transformers till about 1am+. Then most of the people went to sleep, leaving me, Hao Meng, Guo Hong and Jaryl awake and chatting about. We also played some games with poker cards and the forfeit would be to drink a small cup of Vodka. We finished from 1/4 of the whole bottle to about 1/8 left.

Tuesday
Even before most of the people had woke up, Jaryl and Hao Meng played with the microphone in the early morning about 5am+. Then we watched Fearless. In the morning, the kids went to swim, and the remaining four of us remained in the house. Hao Meng and Jaryl were the sleepyheads as they slept till 12pm+. Guo Hong and me were like very bored as we couldn't get to sleep. Then we went to play bowling again. After that, we went to the beach and watched as the planes flew in from the skies to the airport. Went back to the chalet and Jaryl and Hao Meng went to swim. After the swim, we went back to the chalet, seeing that BBQ was already done. Helped ourselves with the food. At about 8pm+, Jaryl's father came to fetch him and we managed to hitch a ride out of the resort from his father.

Trying to make this as short as possible.

Met Zheng Yang and Elvin. Reached GCW Hotel early. Had some meal. Worked in second level Waterfront Ballroom with Zheng Yang, Jia Min, Tze Yu and Jie Ying. Elvin was at third level. Wan Jia was put to Riverfront Ballroom. Was under Guo Lun and Vincent. Broke a few bowls. Got a little lecture from Guo Lun. Friendly guy he was. Dinner ended about 10.45pm. Gathered for briefing. Made to to OT. Dragged the whole group in as well. Elvin left first. Wan Jia OT to 12.30am+. Rest of us until 1.30am. Sign out and missed the bus. Waited for taxi. One of the manager asked us to move the cloth that was thrown outside the storeroom on 4th level. Got on to taxi at about 2am+. Reached home nearing 3am.

Sorry to those who were working in the same room as me. I felt guilty that I was partially responsible for making you all work OT with me.

Yesterday was one slacked day.

Met Zheng Yang and Elvin at Bukit Gombak before going to work. Nearing Tiong Bahru, Zheng Yang realized his IC was not with him so he went home while me and Elvin continued to the hotel as we were asked to go earlier at the last minute. Changed and went to sign in. We were sent to do a Dance and Dinner on the second level. Our manager for that event was Hisam. He was quite friendly. Elvin and I were asked to help another manager with the moving of tables around. It was quite tiring. For our event, it was a Dance and Dinner for some airline company. There were people from many different countries. There were also air stewardess from Singapore, Japan, Korea and India wearing their work uniform. The serving was not as tiring as wedding dinner. Everything was served before 10.30on. Then we spent the remaining time to clear up. Was released slightly beyond 11pm. Met Zheng Yang in the changing room and we all left together. Sadly, neither Kang Yi, Edwin, Wan Jia or Jie Ying were working that day so I just went home without supper.

Sorry for the delay in the posting.

On Wednesday, took a bus to Bukit Batok area where Coach Vincent is currently living at now. It was raining like nobody's business. It had been raining since early noon. Once outside the condo, I waited for Hao Meng and Iman to come. Then we walked in and took the lift up. Once there, Hong Hui, Ryan, Darren, Bing Han and Matthew were already sitting outside as Coach Vincent was out buying some stuff. Then the pizza delivery arrived. We paid for the food first. After a while more, more people arrived. Finally Coach Vincent arrived and we went in. We helped ourselves to the food and drinks. Watched some TV shows and continued eating. Some of us went down to play pool in between. The pool table was relatively smaller compared to the others I have played before. After that, we went back up and the cake was cut. Watched Transformers after the cake. Left at about 11.30pm with Li Jun, Hong Hui, Iman, Darren, Ryan, Coach Wen Xin and her boyfriend. We got a ride to the MRT station by Coach Wen Xin's boyfriend. Then on the MRT, I saw Pei Zhen and Christopher. Not sure where they went to. Once I reached Yew Tee, I helped Jia Hao, Wei Cheng and Alvin buy their supper and head over to Wei Cheng's house. We watched some movie and used the computer. Then we played Mahjong as well. At about 3am, we were starting to sleep but in the end we slept at about 4.30am. This was due to that we were having some fight in the room with the pillows. Woke up about 8am+. Then we head over to a nearby hawker centre for breakfast. Visited Aik Hao and Wei Cheng's workplace, which was Kranji Primary School bookshop. Left shortly after that.

Reached Newton at about 7.20pm. Upon reaching, I saw Guo Hong and we went over to the CC together. Today was the grading for the Tuesday class. Among all the routines, I felt that the best would be Ren Zoe and Bryan. They were after all the better ones among the kids. Then, after the grading for the Tuesday people, we had a water bomb fight in celebration of Coach Vincent's birthday in the coming Thursday. Today was actually Kai Lun's birthday. A lot of water bombs were thrown at Coach Vincent. It was like the whole Wufang students ganging against him. Then after that was the cake cutting. After that, Coach Vincent got a pail of water and splashed at Jaryl and Guo Hong, with some water splashed onto Zhe Wei. Then while finding Yao De, Coach Vincent decided to attack me instead and fortunately I was only wet at the top. After cleaning up, we head over to Newton Food Centre for supper. Me and Zhe Wei went to get our food and when we returned, we found that Yao De has finally been splashed at. After supper, took the MRT with Danielle, Guo Hong and Li Jun.

Going to Coach Vincent's new house tomorrow.

Third day.

Met Zheng Yang and Kang Yi at CCK MRT at 3.10pm. Supposedly meeting Jia Hao at Yishun. Then we decided to take another route there. We took the train to Tiong Bahru and from there took the bus to the hotel. Once there, we kinda slacked around as there was still quite a long time before our work starts. Had some food in the canteen. Then Kang Yi changed first as his work starts 5pm. He and Jia Hao were sent to work at the 2nd level. Me and Zheng Yang slacked in the changing room until 6pm. We met Wan Jia and Jia Min before going to our working area which is the Grand Ballroom. Today's wedding was much more relaxed. There were only about 40 tables and I was allocated to 3 people and we each served a table. My serving has improved since the past two working days. Was able to use the serving gear more effectively, with the exception of the chicken and fish. Time really passed very fast and soon we were released. We were earlier as compared to the previous days. Then we took the Tiong Bahru route home. Zheng Yang alighted at Bukit Gombak and the rest of us alighted at Choa Chu Kang. Jia Min's aunt was fetching her from there to their house. Me, Kang Yi and Wan Jia walked over to 7-Eleven again to get Big Gulp as usual. Seems like a normal routine for us after our work. Head over to the usual food court again and had dinner. We left earlier than before as well at about 12.50am.

For the past few days, I could see stars clearly in the sky. It is such an amazing sight to see so many stars in a well-lit area. How I wish everyday could be like today.

Second day at work.

Today was much more relaxed as compared to my first day of work. Went on my own to the hotel since my slot was 6pm-11pm. Once there, I realized I forgot to bring my name tag and had to get a new one at a cost of $6.00. Signed in and saw Kang Yi there like pretty slacked. Then head down to second level where my working location is. The second floor had two weddings going on. One was in the Riverfront and the other was in the Waterfront. Mine was under Riverfront. Once I entered the room, everything had already been set up. My managers for that day was Branden and the other I forgot the name. They were much better than Lawrence when I was working under him. Heard he was much friendlier today. We were given a briefing on what drinks were available and we were divided into two teams. One was the Australian team and the other was Italian team. Sounds like a soccer match but it was not. The reason for the division was that there were two types of red wine available for our room. One was Italian wine and the other was Australian. From what I heard, the difference between this two was the grape that was used in making the wine. Then I was asked to do the cocktail service and had to carry the drinks and walked around to the guest to give them their drinks. While doing the cocktail service, I saw Jie Ying, Zheng Yang and Elvin doing the wedding for the other room. Back to my working location, first dish was up. The food was like the first wedding dinner I did. As usual, second dish was shark's fin. Third course was chicken followed by prawns. Then there was this dish which I don't even know what it is. Up next was the vegetables and then the fish. Like my first time, I let my partner did the cutting. The second last course was the fried rice. We had to portion it and it was my first time doing portioning for it and I totally messed it up. In the end, the guests told me that they would settle it themselves. Last dish was some dessert. While working in between, there was song being played and one of the songs would seem familiar to the choir members who took part in the NDP'06. The song was from the last part of the Absolutely Everybody. After that, we quickly cleared the place and suddenly I was asked back to work OT. I was kinda shocked but fortunately after a while, I was told it was some misunderstanding or something and I quickly went to sign out and met up with Kang Yi, Jie Ying, Zheng Yang and Elvin. We took a different route today. We head over to Tiong Bahru and board the train there. Then went up from Jurong East to our stops. Upon reaching Choa Chu Kang, me, Kang Yi and Jie Ying went over to 7-Eleven to get Big Gulps and had our 'supper' at the food court within the bus interchange. We talked about a lot of stuff there. Left at about 1.20am.

*Yawns* Haven't been sleeping well starting the previous week. Can't get to sleep until about 3-4am. My holiday nights are fully packed. Monday working from 5-11. Tuesday and Thursday Wushu training. Wednesday gymnastics. Friday working again. Sunday as well. The only day I have free would be Saturday night which I am glad that I am not working on that day as there are lots of nice shows at night.
