Second day at work.
Today was much more relaxed as compared to my first day of work. Went on my own to the hotel since my slot was 6pm-11pm. Once there, I realized I forgot to bring my name tag and had to get a new one at a cost of $6.00. Signed in and saw Kang Yi there like pretty slacked. Then head down to second level where my working location is. The second floor had two weddings going on. One was in the Riverfront and the other was in the Waterfront. Mine was under Riverfront. Once I entered the room, everything had already been set up. My managers for that day was Branden and the other I forgot the name. They were much better than Lawrence when I was working under him. Heard he was much friendlier today. We were given a briefing on what drinks were available and we were divided into two teams. One was the Australian team and the other was Italian team. Sounds like a soccer match but it was not. The reason for the division was that there were two types of red wine available for our room. One was Italian wine and the other was Australian. From what I heard, the difference between this two was the grape that was used in making the wine. Then I was asked to do the cocktail service and had to carry the drinks and walked around to the guest to give them their drinks. While doing the cocktail service, I saw Jie Ying, Zheng Yang and Elvin doing the wedding for the other room. Back to my working location, first dish was up. The food was like the first wedding dinner I did. As usual, second dish was shark's fin. Third course was chicken followed by prawns. Then there was this dish which I don't even know what it is. Up next was the vegetables and then the fish. Like my first time, I let my partner did the cutting. The second last course was the fried rice. We had to portion it and it was my first time doing portioning for it and I totally messed it up. In the end, the guests told me that they would settle it themselves. Last dish was some dessert. While working in between, there was song being played and one of the songs would seem familiar to the choir members who took part in the NDP'06. The song was from the last part of the Absolutely Everybody. After that, we quickly cleared the place and suddenly I was asked back to work OT. I was kinda shocked but fortunately after a while, I was told it was some misunderstanding or something and I quickly went to sign out and met up with Kang Yi, Jie Ying, Zheng Yang and Elvin. We took a different route today. We head over to Tiong Bahru and board the train there. Then went up from Jurong East to our stops. Upon reaching Choa Chu Kang, me, Kang Yi and Jie Ying went over to 7-Eleven to get Big Gulps and had our 'supper' at the food court within the bus interchange. We talked about a lot of stuff there. Left at about 1.20am.
*Yawns* Haven't been sleeping well starting the previous week. Can't get to sleep until about 3-4am. My holiday nights are fully packed. Monday working from 5-11. Tuesday and Thursday Wushu training. Wednesday gymnastics. Friday working again. Sunday as well. The only day I have free would be Saturday night which I am glad that I am not working on that day as there are lots of nice shows at night.
