First day at work.

Met Kang Yi, Zheng Yang and his cousin at Choa Chu Kang MRT station at 3.30pm. Then we took the train to Orchard again and board the bus to the hotel. Once outside the hotel, we waited for Edwin to come who was a bit late. Then we signed in, changed our pass and quickly went over to change as we were a bit late. Went to 4th floor and entered the kitchen. The briefing was already going on. Then everything was done in a hurry. Changing the tables, arranging the chairs, setting up the plates and everything. Once ready, the people came in. The event going on was a wedding dinner. It was a 8-course dinner if I remembered clearly. Then my partner and I were rather slow in serving the people as I was still an amateur in this. First dish was the cold platter. Second was shark's fin. Third was some chicken. Then following was the prawns. Fifth up was the fish. After that was the sea cucumber and some vegetables. Following up was the noodles. Finally last dish was the dessert. After a grueling 4 hours of dinner, the people had left. Wanted to have something to drink as I did not get to take a sip during the dinner. But we were called in to debrief. Then we left the place at about 11.20pm. Changed out and went over to the bus stop, waiting for the bus to come. When we reached the MRT station, the last train available was only to Kranji. We then chose to take the train to Marsiling for me, Kang Yi and Edwin. Zheng Yang and his cousin alighted at Woodlands to see if there was still bus available. At Marsiling, me, Kang Yi and Edwin got ourselves Big Gulp and took a cab to the food court near Lot 1. We then had our so-called dinner there. Chat around and then left at about 2am.

Guess what Alvin said about Dong Na was true, she is like a second Ms Lee.

Posting on what happened on Sunday.

Met Zheng Yang and his cousin at Choa Chu Kang MRT station first. Then head over to Yishun MRT station and waited for the rest to come. Tze Yu was on the same train with us. Alvin was the first. Then a few minutes later, Kang Yi, Wan Jia, Wan Zhen, Jie Ying, Jia Hao and Hui Jie arrived. Edwin was late as usual. Head over to Orchard MRT station and took a bus to the hotel there. Upon reaching the outside of the hotel, we met Wee How and his two primary school friends, Marcus and Pearlynne. Walked in from the carpark and exchanged for our passes. Then we head over to the 4th floor and went into a room where the training was held. The training was a bit draggy. After that, we had a tour around the places where we will be working at before we were released. Then we all head back to Orchard MRT station.

Once there, we all went separate ways. Excluding me, Jia Hao and Alvin, the rest went to Far East Plaza while the three of us met with Wei Cheng and Choon Tat. Then we head over to Cinelesiure for dinner. Xian Feng joined us shortly. After dinner, we head up to E2Max to play LAN. Edwin then joined us after he came back from the other group. Played CS again for 2 hours. We head down one level to the K-Pool and played for another hour. Then we board the train home.

Met Choon Tat, Wei Cheng, Wei Yao, Xian Feng and Edwin at Bukit Gombak MRT before going towards Bukit Batok MRT station. Took bus 61 from the interchange to Ngee Ann Polytechnic. From there, we head over to the convention centre and tried to smuggle Wei Yao in as there was a age limit to the Zouk celebration there. Eventually, one of the Ngee Ann Poly student leader let us all in. Once in, there was already some performance going on. After that performance, it was Paul Twohill. Somehow, he was not singing quite to standard in my opinion. Then following was another band performance. Heard a few songs by them before going off.

Then we head over to Bukit Timah Food Centre for our dinner. Walked over to IRC at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. Played Counter-Strike for about 2 hours there. Played until like crazy. There was one round we played knife match and I ran around holding a HE grenade ready to explode. Whoever killed me and did not run away ended up being killed as well. There was also once where Wei Yao was holding the tactical shield and hiding in a corner. In the end he ended up getting killed. Left at about 11.45pm.

PROMS OVER!!!!!!!! =(((((

The long awaited prom has ended in such a short time. What can I say about it? The food was relatively worth the amount we paid for the prom. Place may seem small but the decorations made it looked big. Many interesting things happened.

Started out with me meeting Wei Cheng, Edwin and Kevin. Then before Edwin arrived, I rushed home to get my ticket which I forgot to bring out earlier on. Flagged a cab from my house and went over to Edwin's house there as he also forgot to bring something so he went home first. Then after a long ride, we reached NUS. We had a hard time finding the exact location of the guild house. Eventually, when we got there, quite a number of people had already arrived. This was a special day that we should never forget. All the people were dressed in their best for this prom. We got to see the formal side of most of the people. Most of the girls, I must say, look really pretty in their prom dresses. The emcee of the event was quite funny actually. Then, the emcee got the prom reps from each class to go on stage. There were lucky draws held at different intervals. First lucky draw was some vouchers I supposed. Second lucky draw was also the same. The final lucky draw had very attractive prizes. The second and third lucky winners each got a Creative Zen V Plus. The grand prize winner walked away with a PSP Slim with 4GB memory stick and the lucky person was none other than ASHILAH!!! Onwards with the prom events. From an original amount of 16 Prom candidates, it ended with 10 advancing into the next round. The overall prom king was Wei Cheng and the prom queen was Priscilla. Then they were made to kiss each other on the cheek. It was quite embarrassing for both of them to do so in front of so many people. After that, it was basically cam-whoring session for most of the people.
Wish I could have taken a photo with her.
Then after the whole thing, a group of us went with Ms Lee to have supper. 13 of us squeeze into the back of the van Ms Lee was driving while one lucky person got to sit in the front who was Yi Jie. The rest squeezing behind were: me, Yu Yong, Wei Cheng, Aik Hao, Xian Feng, Edwin, Kevin, Hui Yi, Joey, Pei Qi, Tiam Kwee, Gary and... We reached some Cheese Prata shop where they sold a variety of roti pratas with different toppings to it. After that, Ms Lee sent Yi Jie home, me to Marsiling MRT, Aik Hao to home. On our way, we talked about our relationship life and even Ms Lee said about hers as well. It was nice to have such a caring teacher who treats us more than just students.

Then reached Alvin's home at about 1am. Jia Hao, Choon Tat and Alvin were there waiting for me to start Mahjong. Played until about 4am-5am+, then we ordered McDonalds. After that, we continued for one or two more round then we went to sleep. Met Jolene at 10am at CCK MRT where she gave me a souvenir she bought from China. Thanks Jolene.

Photos will be up soon once I get them.

Early morning was totally damn crap.

Played PSP in the morning from about 8am+ to 9am+. After that, left for home and changed and had lunch. Head over to Choa Chu Kang MRT station and waited for Benedict. Then waited for Eda at Yew Tee MRT station. Soon we had our long ride to Orchard. It was the first time the 3 of us went out together. Upon reaching Orchard, we headed to Wisma Atria where Benedict wanted to go to the Sony Ericsson shop to service his phone. After that, we walked over to Far East Plaza and bought my prom top. Initially I felt black colour was better but the staff recommended white. Then took white colour and just a few minutes after we left the shop, decided to change it to black again. Then we headed to Long John Silver to have our food. After that, in order to waste time, we walked all the way to Plaza Singapura at Dhoby Ghaut. Once there, we head up to the arcade and played. For once, I actually played until I got a blister on one of my fingers. Then we head over to the MRT station and I took the train with them back to Orchard as they were going to wait for Eda's brother to come. Then got off the train and thought of waiting for Wei Cheng who was with his girlfriend. But then in the end head over to Tanjong Pagar alone. Waited for Wei Cheng, Cheryl and Su Ling and we went up to find the other choir members. Walked a few traffic lights to the Singapore Conference Hall.

Once seated, we wait for the programme to begin. First up was Henderson choir bringing to us four songs. The first was 'Heavens Are Telling'. It was pretty shaky in the beginning but it ended well. Second song was 'Just a Single Voice'. It was much better than the first one. Then was the 'Unpainted Canvas' which was also nice. Last song was 'Love Changes Everything'. I think that our school was better in that song. Then following up their performance was a violin solo by one of the Henderson students. He was quite good in it. The guest performers, Gan Eng Seng Primary School choir was up next. They sang Princess Mononoke which was quite nice. Followed up were Sing a Song of Sixpence, Can You Hear Me?, When I Close My Eyes. Then it was a break. After the break, we were brought a performance by the dance troupe of Henderson Sec. Their dance was nice which earned them the Silver in this year's SYF competition. Then it was some Silat performance by their NA and NT students. Hip-hop was next was nice too. Then there was these two soloists who sang 'When You Believe'. One of the girls, who was said to have been in the top 25 in the Campus Superstar this year, did not sing as well as I thought. Her voice was shaky and went off a few times. The other soloist was better. Continuing was another dance by the dance troupe. They were dancing Shango, a mixture of contemporary dance and Indian dance. It was also nice. The finale performance was an extract of the musical Grease. The Henderson choir members put up a good performance for that. Then like any performance, there would be flower giving to the Guest-of-Honour who was Mr Iskandar Jalil. After that, we all head over to the MRT station where the choir members had to stay in school for one final night before they break camp the next day. The seniors: Me, Suling, Cheryl and Wei Cheng changed train at Outram Park and head over to Clarke Quay. Once there, we walked a big round to find a place to eat. Eventually we picked a Satay Club there. The food was expensive but some were quite nice. After that, we left and head over to the MRT station and waited for 190 at the bus stop. Had a long bus ride to my house. Reached home about 12.15am.

Just feeling bored right now. When you guys read this post, you will be surprised to know that I am blogging from the school. If you look at the time this post is posted, it simply means I can't get to sleep. Blogging about what happened in choir camp when I was around.

Day One
Met Wei Cheng, Sarah and Stella to go play pool at Bukit Timah to kill time. Then we head over to Yew Tee where Cheryl was waiting for us. Went over to the school and joined the choir members in the music room. They were supposed to be watching a movie but as no one knew how to operate the sound system in the music room, the movie portion was canceled. Then they just slacked around. When Wei Hao got back to school after something he had at church, he realized that his dinner had been eaten up by Zheng Yang and Jackie and then Ms Lee lectured them I supposed and they volunteered to go buy dinner for him. The seniors that were staying overnight on the first night were: Me, Sarah, Stella, Gary, Wan Jia and Jackie. The others: Wei Cheng, Yu Han and Cheryl went home. Then me, Sarah, Stella, Zheng Yang, Wei Hao and Jackie were sitting around the table outside the staff room talking about how the camp was. We also talked about the past events happened in our secondary school life. Some of us patrolled around the school to see if any of the juniors were not sleeping. True enough, quite a few of them were still up and playing. Tried to chase them back to sleep. Then only me, Sarah and Stella didn't catch much sleep that day.

Day Two
Left the school early with Gary, Stella and Sarah. Stella went home while the rest of us went to McDonald for breakfast. Then we left separately. Reached home and caught a few hours sleep before getting ready for Wushu at night. Met Sarah and Stella at the MRT station at 6pm to pass them my laptop which Sarah wanted to use to watch Ouran High School. Then took the train all the way to Newton. During training, it was very tiring as I had stopped for about 2-3 weeks of training. Nearing the end of the training, my leg cramped and did not do the routine. After training, went over to Newton Food Centre for supper. Left with Hao Meng at 10.30pm. Then reached Yew Tee at 11pm. Slacked around in the McDonald as Stella was going to be late as she had some church stuff to deal with. Then we walked over to the school where Sarah opened the gate for us to go in. Then in our 'suite', there was this large cake which was in celebration of two of the choir members' birthday. A few slices were left only when me and Stella arrived. Then Ms Lee gave us some food leftover from the celebration for the Sec 4s which we missed earlier. She also chatted with us. About 1am plus, some of us sat around the parade square looking at stars. As I am typing this post now, most of the people are asleep. Don't have the urge to sleep now.

Going to be a tired day ahead. Going out to Far East with Benedict and Eda to get some prom stuffs. Have to rushed home and come out again. Then at night there would be the concert performance by one of Mr Liew's choir.

Think I will end here now.

My first organized trip that was so-called successful

Met Edwin at around 3.30pm and we went to Causeway Point first as he needed to get something there. Then waited for the rest at Woodlands MRT at 4pm. Choon Tat, Jia Hao and Alvin were on time. Wei Cheng, as usual, was late again but by a few minutes. Then we took the train to Orchard. Upon reaching Orchard, our first destination was Far East Plaza. Walked around there and saw some with nice designs. Then walked around but couldn't find much as most of the shops are selling more for female clothings. Decided to put on hold what we saw at Far East and walked over to Wisma Atria to look around. Went to Topman first and the clothes there were very expensive. Even the blazers were expensive as well. After that, we walked around to see the shops selling men's wear and some had nice designs but slightly expensive. At Isetan, the clothes there were also quite expensive. After walking around for about an hour half or so, we tried to find a place to eat. Initially wanted to try fast food so we sat at McDonalds there. Saw someone who looked like Xing Wei there. Then we walked and walked until Cineleisure. Went over to Pasta Mania and sat down, thinking of what to eat htere. But eventually, we went down to the food court instead. After that, we were thinking of whether to go back to Far East Plaza to buy the prom clothes or go play LAN. Eventually we chose to play LAN by majority. No choice but to follow them. Alvin had to go off instead as he still had to have dinner at home. Played a few rounds of Counter-Strike and DOTA. Went home after that.

Most probably going out to buy again on Friday. Hopefully I will really buy instead of dilly-dallying around like today. Also, I will be making some changes to the blog layout after the prom once I have the time.

Warning! The following post contains some emo content.

I feel that I may have been a jerk for being like what one of my friend said, Yi Jiao Ta Liang Chuan, which directly translates to One Leg Stepping on Two Boats. It seems I can't get over with the person whom I have liked for quite a few years while I am with the current person that I am with now. It was hard for me to make the decision to end with the person that I am with now as I know it would greatly affect her. But this had to be done soon or eventually it would bring no good to either of us in the time to come.

On the other hand, another friend of mine had said that it is useless for me to keep thinking about the girl that I have liked. I pondered over what he said and it quite made sense. She doesn't seem to notice what I have been trying to do to get her to like me. It would only turn out a waste of time and energy if she totally thinks that I am a nuisance. Also, she could already have someone she liked and just that they don't make their relationship known to others. Some of the friends around her have different comments on both of us. Some thinks that I should try to get her while some thinks I should just give it up.

Decisions in life are just hard to make. Once you make a wrong decision, you may regret for the rest of your life. I also realised something, it is easy for one to like someone but it is difficult to get someone to like you back. Things like these just can't be forced.

'O' LEVELS IS OVER FOR ME

This is something worth rejoicing over. But then again, now that 'O's are over, I feel kinda empty as there is nothing else to do this few days except waiting for the time to pass. Sometimes I regret over how well I have prepared for the 'O' levels. Some of the subjects I think will do very badly, such as Chemistry, English, Pure Geography and Combine Humanities. For Pure Geography, I did a question which I would get lesser marks in the end. For English, I chose a topic which I am not used to. For Combine Humanities, my SBQ for History was done quite badly. My SEQ for Social Studies was even worse. Can't even give all the points. Soon, I would be making a decision that would change my life eventually. It is a must do as if I were to let it continue, it would only bring more trouble. Hope this decision would change some things that I want.

On the other hand, I am looking forward to the choir camp in the coming week. Miss all my juniors in the choir. Also, the Prom Night is coming soon as well. I haven't really gotten ready for it as I have not bought the clothes that I want to wear on that day.

Here's something that I found from Wikipedia on Proms

Some high school students feel that the prom is the most romantic night of their lives. They may go in a group that includes a person they have known for years; other times, students just try to find a date that they like. Many find it to be just as fun to attend with friends, not worrying about the dating aspect of the prom. The occurrence of inappropriate conduct and occurrence of violence or alcohol/drug abuse is common though discouraged. In some high schools, to prevent parties that go out of control and traffic accidents, they host A.P.E., or an After Prom Extravaganza, where the attendees usually return to the school after prom and spend the night as a "lock-in."

Today was the big day.

Reached the studio at about 3.30pm. Then went into the multi-purpose hall where all the costumes were. Changed into the costumes and had make-up put on. Got to know some of the kids from PCF Tampines West Educational Centre that would be performing alongside the finalists. Queena, Petrina, Nataline and two Marcus. Queena was one violent girl. She kept talking back at some of us but she was quite cute though. Petrina was one that I got to know better. She was cute and kept asking us to guess her name and her family and also asked me to hi-5 with her. Too bad I don't have any photos of them. Then had dinner and did our hair. Waited for our turn to get ready and then we head down to the TV theater. Waited until the kids went in before our turn. During our item, something went wrong but was fixed immediately so the item managed to continue. After that, we changed out before going off. Some went to celebrate while some went home. Sadly, didn't get the chance to take photos with any of the stars.

Congratulation to Andie on winning the Star Search '07.

Miss those kids from
PCF Tampines West Educational Centre. Hopefully we can perform with them again soon.

If I am not mistaken, the little girl below is Queena.

One more day.

Today was the full dress rehearsal for the Star Search '07 Finals. For once, it was the first time I saw so many Mediacorp Artiste in the same place. Head over to the make-up room and waited for the rehearsal to start. There were many children there, also performing for the Star Search performance. The kids were so cute. Then changed at about 5pm+ and had make-up put on. Then actual rehearsal commence at about 8pm. First up was the Mediacorp artiste entering from the stage in pairs. The artiste there were: Chen Han Wei, Felicia Chin, Patricia Mok, Chen Li Ping, Chen Tai Ming, Zheng Ge Ping, Zhou Chu Ming, Chen Zhi Cai, Huang Bi Ren, Huang Wen Yong, Li Jing Mei and quite a few others. It was also said that Energy, Fann Wong, Zoe Tay and S R Nathan will be present on the actual day. The emcees were Quan Yi Fong and Guo Liang. The first item was a competition based on the costume and style of the finalist. The kids that were mentioned earlier were involved in this item. They were each divided into groups so that each group came out with one finalist each time. Then after that was our item. Not much mistakes made and everything was quite okay. Then the Wufang people went off without continuing to watch the rest of the performance.
