Got back my 'O' Level results.

Met a big group of people at Yew Tee Mac. They were waiting there as the school would only be open from 1.30pm onwards. Once in the school, we had our final lunch from the school canteen before we are officially graduates from the school. Went up to the hall to get the results. Unfortunately, those whose hair are not appropriate according the school rules were sent to the Earth-History room to wait for the others to get their results before getting their results. I was one of the unfortunate ones. Waited for very long before the teacher came down. From what I heard, Yvonne from 4/8 achieved the most distinction in the school but Samuel, also from 4/8, top the whole cohort in the 'O' levels. In the end, it was like me and Clement the only ones still waiting for results. Eventually Mrs Naza came down to give us our results. I was quite satisfied with it.

Then after that, me, Wei Cheng, Alvin, Choon Tat, Xian Feng, Jia Hao, Edwin, Xian Zheng and Hui Koon went to Seoul Garden for a some sort of celebration. Saw Ming Soon with his group of CCKSS friends and Sin Rui with a few of her DSS friends. Ate until like 6.30pm before I proceeded to Newton for training.

My results:

English: C5
E Maths: A1
Science (Bio/Chem): A2
Combine Humanities (SS/Hist): B4
Pure Geography: B3
A Maths: B3
Chinese: B4

L1R4: 14
L1R5: 18

I actually met my target which I set previously when I was using my previous blogskin. Coincidentally, the results were exactly the same. For English, it was kind of expected but I was thinking of a B4 at least. E Maths was expected as the paper was relatively easy in my opinion. My Science was a half-shocked half-expected. Most of my friends would have known about how I did for my practical. The half-shocked came from that the Cambridge markers didn't penalise much for what I did. The half-expected was because the Biology paper was relatively easy and the MCQ for both paper was like easy as I finished it around 10 minutes. SS/Hist was a bit shock as I thought I would get lower since I had quite a few blanks in the paper. Pure Geography was a bit shock as well as the day before that, I was having the Star Search rehearsal and didn't have enough time to study and in the end I got a B3. The most improved I guess would be A Maths. I have been constantly failing A Maths exams for Mid-year and prelims. But turns out in the 'O' levels, I actually got a B3.

Good job to Alvin and Xian Feng for scoring L1R4 9 L1R5 12 and L1R4 8 L1R5 11 respectively (hope I got it right). Good job to Guo Hong as well for winning me with L1R4 13 L1R5 16. To those who did not do very well for the 'O' levels, don't get too upset over it. You did your best. If you just barely made it to JC, just try to make up for it by preparing to work harder in JC. Polytechnic isn't as bad as some think. Even if you can't reach the COP for some of the courses, you can still appeal so long as you really are interested and you meet the minimum requirements at least.
