Here are some of the achievements I have gotten in Wushu so far.
The one on the left is from IVP Wushu '08. Got 4th position for that
The middle one is from HK International Wushu Festival. Got 2nd place.
The one on the right is from HK International Wushu Festival as well. Got 3rd place.

Saturday

Supposedly meeting Guo Hong at Bugis MRT station. Then conincidentally met Chang Heng, Yao De and Yan De. Made our way to Miss Clarity Cafe where Karen was already there and Li Jun and Xian Ying just reached. Sat down and waited for Coach Guo to come. We then ordered our food. This gathering was to celebrate my birthday belated and in advance for Coach Guo's birthday. Ye Huei then joined us shortly after. We had our food and stayed on for a while after that. Sat at Starbucks to chill out a little. Eventually, it was getting late. Ye Huei went to find her friend while Guo Hong and Li Jun head home. The remaining of us were deciding where we can go. Chee Tat then came and we took his car to Marina Square and chill out until about 3am+. Talked about almost everything. From one person, we could end up at the topic about World War. It was really quite enjoyable hanging out with them. Reached home near 5am.

Saturday

IVP starts today. Had to wake up early in the morning and took about 2 hours from my house to MacPherson ITE. Once there, was a bit late but still, the actual thing started at 10am. Had time to test the carpet and warm-up. First half of the events, NP got the first gold of the competition. Waited until the second half of the competition. Mine was one of the last few events. Finally it wa my turn. Made the same mistakes as during the Nationals. But I managed to secure a 4th position and received a medal. At the end of the competition, NP Wushu got second place overall in having the most medal tally. In total we had 10 event medals and two trophies. One of them was from the Sparring and the other from Overall Second.

Went for dinner celebration at Suntec Just Noodles. It was about $10, considering that there is free flow of drinks and ice-cream. After the meal, we had some fun at the Fountain of Wealth. Left at about 9pm+.

Sunday
Went down to Paya Lebar. Met up with Jaryl, Guo Hong, Hao Meng, Hong Wei, Sin Hui. Then made our way to Kampong Ubi CC as we couldn't continue walking since it was raining heavily. Waited for Jun Ming to fetch us down to somewhere in Joo Chiat. He also brought along two NUS students who were performing as well. The performance was kinda screwed up as the floor was wet, no proper stage and not many audience. After performance, went home after that.

Tuesday
School as per normal. For Sports and Wellness (S & W), I chose basketball and the first lesson was kinda boring. Had some stupid activity and then did some passing and bouncing of the ball.
Lesson ended early. Stayed around in school for a while. Then went down to City Hall to meet Alvin and Xian Feng. Alvin treated us to Yuki Yaki for helping with the moving of his room previously. The food wasn't so bad. The ice-cream part was quite fun. After dinner, we walked back to MRT station and took the train home.

School has re-opened for 3 days so far. The new modules seems quite interesting and tough at the same time.

Have been troubling over making decisions to go down train at NP wushu. Firstly, I would be having training tomorrow at Wufang. And my lessons runs all the way from 9am-6pm. If I went for the training, I would be making myself very restless as I would be out the whole day tomorrow. But on second thoughts, I have not really trained hard enough for the upcoming IVP. It really is a hard decision for me to make. Plus, I don't really like my schedule for this semester. Lessons end at 4pm on Wednesday, and I would have 3 hours before training actually starts. Nothing to do during that whole 3 hours. Was asked if I could help out with some of the coaching, couldn't make it because on Tuesday, my lessons start 1pm-5pm whereas the coaching is 2 or 3pm+. Wednesday I can't make it because lessons start 2pm-4pm. Coaching is also at the same time. Plus after that if I want to go down to another school which starts at 4.15pm, I can't make it on time by bus.

Went for training at night as usual. Training was quite tiring. Wasn't feeling too well. After training, had supper. Then left in Coach Vincent's car to MRT station. Took train to Marsiling. Went Alvin's house.

Played PS2 and Mahjong throughout the night. Ended around 6am. Couldn't get to sleep. Completed the whole DBZ game in PS2 by unlocking all characters. At 12pm, everyone was awake and we had our breakfast during lunchtime at a Indian Muslim stall. Went home after that.

Went for training at RP at 5pm. Met Melissa and waited for Julie to come. In the end she did not come. So made our way down without her. Training was less intense. After training, had dinner at Causeway Point. That was when something which I had not expected happened. The RP Wushu people actually bought a cake for me to celebrate my birthday in advance. I didn't expect they would go through the trouble to get me a cake even though I am not from their Wushu IG. It was really an occasion that I would never forget.

Feel that my time has been wasted too much on computer games and wushu. I am not complaining that I don't want to continue anymore. It's just that I have missed out a lot of interesting shows on TVs and also I can't go out with friends and classmates often due to Wushu training and also laziness to go out. The past two months of holidays has been quite boring. Eat, sleep, play, Wushu. I rarely got the chance to go out with friends and to watch TV. Most of the good shows that I want to watch happen to broadcast during the time I am away for Wushu. Most of the outings I want to go out together with friends are on the days that I am busy with Wushu. Recently, I have been delaying in doing blog post due to me playing computer games. I really need to change the way I am living my life. Perhaps in another few years time.

Event: IVP Wushu Competition
Venue: MacPherson ITE
Date: 18th October
Time: TBC

The Inter-Varsity Pol-ITE (IVP) Wushu is closing in. And I have only managed to familiarise with my routine recently. Hopefully I can give in my best in the competition to make up for my mistake in the Nationals.

Today was a very long day for me.

Woke up early in the morning. Changed out and took a bus to interchange and then took the MRT to Buona Vista and waited for the bus to Henry Park Primary School. I must say the school is really damn big. It took up the space of the former Raffles Girls Primary School. The students who study there are mostly rich kids. Was down there to assist Guo Hong and Jun Ming to coach the kids and their parents. This is one of the more different school that is under Wufang in that there are parents and staffs joining along the wushu lesson. The kids are also more obedient compared to the other schools I have taken. After that, head down to Wufang supposedly wanting to train but in the end help Guo Hong with another coaching. Had lunch at Newton Food Center.

After lunch, it was still quite early so Guo Hong and I made our way down to Marina Square and walked around before going to play pool. Played for about an hour. Our pooling skills were quite rusty. Can't even remember when was the last time I played pool. Then walked around again in search of something to buy for Michelle's birthday present. Walked to Suntec and eventually found a present that we could get for her. Also bought a birthday card. We then made our way down from Suntec to Parkway Parade. Once at Parkway Parade, we had a long walk before entering East Coast Park. But the walk was not over yet. We walked for about 10-15 minutes before we reached the McDonalds. It was not the end yet. We still had to walk another 5-8 minutes before passing by Burger King. And the last part of the journey took us about 10-15 minutes or so to reach the chalet.

We were one of the earlier few at around 5.30pm+. Helped ourselves with some of the food. Night began to fall and more and more people arrived. Sit around, chat with the others, play with the kids, eat the food. That's mostly what we did there. There wasn't much to do either. Soon it was about 10.30pm and me, Yao De, Bing Han and Li Jun took a cab all the way to Jurong before going our separate directions.

Will get the photos from the facebook group ASAP.

I've decided, to keep my blog alive, I will post photos of my previous events when I have nothing to blog about.

Mud pool outside Tudor Towers

The above is an enclosed mud pool where you can smell the strong odour of sulphur that comes out from the ground as we were atop a caldera. In case some of you may be wondering, the smell of the sulphur there is similar to the smell of rotten eggs.
