Went to visit choir on Monday. It just seems like how we started out with Mr Liew when he taught us new songs. After that went back home and came out again to go Alvin's house. Waited for Xian Feng to arrive. Then we played a few rounds of Mahjong before Jia Hao had to leave. With the rest of us, we couldn't do much since we are short of one player for Mahjong and Xian Feng did not bring his laptop. We decided to have late-night supper at a nearby hawker centre.

After that, we decided to explore around Woodlands. It brought back memories to Xian Feng and Alvin since they lived in that area when they were in primary school. Walked past Fuchun Secondary School and Fuchun Primary School, after that, passed Si Ling Primary School before we took a detour towards the main road leading towards the expressway where we passed by the exterior of Innova JC and Singapore Sports School from the main road. We came to a ending path before we turned back and passed by Woodgrove Primary School. We then walked in past Innova Primary School and saw another side of Innova JC and Singapore Sports School. We also took some photos along the road. It was a big loop path that we took. Also walked past Christ Church Secondary School and Woodgrove Secondary School. Bought some drinks at Vista Point 7-11. Chatted at a nearby void deck. After that, we made our way back to Alvin's house. Before that, we decided to walk past Xian Feng's old house. Finally reached back Alvin's house. It was a long gruelling walk from 1am-6am.

Rested until 9am+ before I prepared to go for Wushu training at RP. After training, went back to Alvin's house where Xian Feng and Alvin were still sleeping. After getting them to wake up, had lunch and then watch videos of some games. Left his home after dinner at 8pm+.

Went down to SAF Holiday Chalet to celebrate Coach Jun Ming's girlfriend's birthday.

Made my way down from my house to Kallang by taking 985. Yeah, I know some people might think I am crazy to sit until my butt pain. But with bus concession, I don't mind spending more time on the bus with free rides. Once reached, went to take MRT to Tampines MRT station. And from there, once again I took bus, this time is 29, the only bus that reaches the chalets at Changi Village. Had quite a long ride too, about half an hour or so. Upon reaching the chalet, I was like a total stranger there, only Coach Jun Ming or his girlfriend's friends were there, while the people who I know went with Jun Ming to buy some stuff. So I sit around at the back watching the Olympics Synchronised Swimming event. The Russians are really good at Synchronise Swimming, their score was nearly perfect 10 from each of the panel of judges. A little while longer, played poker cards with the people there.

Finally they are back. So the party kinda started. There was quite a spread of food, ranging from bee hoon to fried chicken to sushi and also pizza. Played mahjong as well. More and more people came. I didn't realised that most of the people Jun Ming invited was in Wushu as well. The cake cutting started around 9pm+ close to 10pm. After that, sat around until 11pm+ where Edison and I took the bus from Aloha Changi back to Tampines interchange. By the time we reached there, the last train to the west side had ended service. We decided to try our luck by taking bus 28 which goes to Toa Payoh. The ride was long, about 40 mins before we reached Braddell Road and we alighted. Managed to flag a cab to get back home. The final fare was $16.20, which I think is not too expensive from Toa Payoh to my house, considering the midnight charge. Through this trip back home, it actually helps me in planning my route from place to place by bus which is my cheapest mode of travel.

Should have updated this a long time ago.

Went out with the 1M03 clique, consisting of Leonard, Kang Wei, Rayner, Jing Yin and Vanessa. We initially planned to go ice-skating at Kallang Leisure Park but because Jing Yin and Vanessa were not dressed appropriately for ice-skating, we decided to explore around Kallang Leisure Park and had our lunch at KFC. It doesn't seem very big and quite empty, probably because it was still schooling hours. Walked around but there wasn't anything much about there. Decided to head down to Orchard where we walked to the Meridien Hotel to play pool. Been about 3 months or so since I last played. Had quite some fun. After that, some had to attend to other things so we all left for home.

Some random updates on the Olympics.

Michael Phelps has broke the record of most gold medals in a single Olympics. He overtook Mark Spitz's record of 7 gold medals with the most recent in the 4 X100 Medley earlier this morning.

Another note, Singapore's Women's Table Tennis won Silver in the finals against China. Even though they did not do very well in the finals, they have done Singapore proud by ending the 48 year drought of medals. This is the second medal Singapore has gotten in since it began taking part in the Olympics.

A disappointed attempt in the competition.

Didn't get to the standard that I wanted. Because I wasn't able to maintain my balance and in the end I bounced on the carpet for about 3-4 times. Heard I could have gotten 0.3-0.4 more if not for that mistake. In the end, my points was 8.01, less than my first National competition by 0.2, less than the Hong Kong competition by about 0.4.

Competition's coming soon from the 13th-17th. Mine's on the Wednesday. One of the last events. But the worst thing is that I'm one of the last few to do the routine. Just in case anyone wants to come along to see, it will be at Toa Payoh Stadium around evening time. Not sure whether it will be required to buy tickets to see the competition.

All the best to those who are going to compete.

Holidays are officially here for me. No more assignments needed to be submit as of now. Still, feeling quite bored. Can't get to go out with my secondary school friends as everything clashes. Either they having lessons or exams or CCAs. Now I am only being bothered by the competition upcoming on Wednesday. One of the last few in the category. Seems like I will get to see quite a lot of familiar faces competing as well.

Today is the 29th Olympics Opening in Beijing. It is an event worth looking forward to every 4 years. World athletes come together to compete in this once-every-4-years event. All the best to Team Singapore athletes and may they break the nearly 5 decades of medal drought.

Sacrificing another day's worth of sleep. Hopefully tomorrow morning's trip to Changi Airport would be fruitful. Just need to retake some photos and I should be done with my DPM. Going to do up my site for the DPM so by tomorrow I just need to edit the photos and put in immediately without much work to rush. Also need to test some codes for PDA so my group can complete everything.

Finally met up with Chantal after like two and a half years.

Met Chantal, Jun Wen and Chantal's friend, Clinton at AMK hub. We were having our dinner there. Been such a long time since I saw Chantal. Still as short as ever. Haha. Sadly, she's going back in mid-August. Hope can meet up again before she goes back.
