Today, I went out for the first time to mug for the upcoming exams. Left home about 12pm and met Xian Feng at CCK MRT station. We then headed to Woodlands Regional Library to mug. Alvin, Wei Cheng, Choon Tat, Jia Hao and Edwin were already there. Sat around there doing homework. Alvis, Alfred, Benedict, Jesper and Fabian were there as well. Then at around 4pm, we left the library and had our 'lunch' at Causeway Point. Wei Cheng went to pick his girlfriend and then joined us at the Food Court but sat at another table. Then we walked around to Causeway before leaving there.

Was supposed to have posted this yesterday.
Had Mother Tongue Mid-Year exam. For paper 1, many people chose 2 and 5 to do. It was the easiest combination. Then we had our break from 10-10.30am. We had our paper 2 after that. Then after school, many of the students went to McDonald for lunch. Something unlucky happened to one of my friend. When we were about to leave McDonald, he discovered that his wallet was lost. We searched the whole of McDonald but there was nothing. About 20 mins later, a graduated Unitian said he found some young Malay boys holding on to a wallet. He said he went to grab one of the boys and he dropped some of the things from the wallet. It turned out to be my friend's things. The boys ran off in a bus after that. The graduated senior then came back to McDonald to give the things back to my friend. We then went to the scene of the crime but could not find the wallet. We were not sure whether the senior was telling the truth or not. If what he said was the truth, the Malay boys could be around Choa Chu Kang and Yew Tee area. If you all see any group of young Malay boys behaving suspiciously in the void deck of any blocks within the area and holding on to a Billabong wallet with white wordings, please inform me or Xian Feng.

Good job to the choir members!!!!!!!!!
We finally attained a
silver after our 3rd SYF since the school started. We rosed from a Certificate of Participation in 2003 to a
bronze in 2005 and this year we made the impossible by obtaining
silver!!! This could not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the choir members. I would like to thank all the choir members who spent their time for choir practice until late night; the teachers of the choir, Ms Lee and Mdm Li, for dedicating their time for choir despite having lessons; the instructor, Mr Liew, for his continuity in teaching the choir despite many unhappy events; the pianist, Ms Lim, for being the pianist to help in our SYF; and also the ex-choir teacher, Mrs Lee, who came and support us. I would also like to thank the Choir Alumni, Jolene, people from 4/5, Edwin, Xian Feng, Rashid, Amirah, Sufia, Yan Han, the PA juniors, the teachers, the Principal and many others whose well-wishes allowed us to get to where we are now.
Back to what happened today. After the morning assembly, all the choir members assembled in the AVA room from morning all the way until 1pm+. The first half of practice began until 9.15am. The Sopranos were having difficulty in reaching the correct note at first. They were then made to stay behind longer while the others went down for recess. After that, around 10am, we went back for the second half of the practice. We managed to finish up all the songs but the Altos began to have problems for some of the songs. At 11.30am, we had our nap time until 12pm by which we went to have our lunch and change to the performance costume. At 1pm, we had one final run of the songs and boarded the bus to Victoria Concert Hall.
Once there, we were the second choir for the afternoon session. Commonwealth Secondary School was before ours. They got a gold with honours for their previous SYF and they dropped to a gold. Then it was our turn. We managed to scrape through as the pitching was a bit off. After us was Loyang Secondary School I think. I can't remember the rest. The second last choir was Kranji Choir. They sang their songs pretty well. Most of the UniqVoices preferred their Janger to the other schools. Sadly, they maintained a silver which made most of them very unhappy and you could see many of them crying over their result as they were expecting to get a gold. It could have been the set-piece which dragged them down or the volume of the bass. After the results were read out, we were cheering outside the VCH on our accomplishment. We took photos and on the bus, the sec 3s and 4s were so crazy on board the bus that we all sang the songs we learnt but without any pitch. Back at school, we were debriefed and some of us went for dinner at McDonalds. There would be a celebration somewhere next week on our achievement and there may be a surprise for the juniors from the graduating seniors.

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY TO WAN JIA!!!
She has been a very good friend since we were in P5. I really enjoyed the fun during the primary school days. Sec 1 was pretty fun as well when we were in the same class. I also enjoyed the class chalet in '05. Now that it is the 'O' levels year, I wish her all the best in the 'O' levels as well as the upcoming SYF competition and the mid-year examinations.

Today was the last day of practice before SYF.
It started out pretty badly as the Sopranos were rather out of tune at the beginning. Mr Liew even had the intention on giving up on us again. This is because he has been rather pissed off by our choir. Imagine yourself taking a choir that is lacking the qualities to be a good choir.
Here is what the choir is lacking of:
1) Discipline: Some of the members don't know when to talk and laugh and joke around.
2) Commitment: For the previous months or so, the attendance was never 100%.
3) Attentiveness: Most of the members are usually distracted by minor things such as the doors opening or even random burping.
Everything started to change after Mr Liew went out and back in again. We did even better than the previous practice. However, we shall not be complacent and just leave it the way it is right now. As the instructor said many times, this performance will have an expiry date which is the last minute of the day. As such, we should think back on the practices we were good and try to make it even better by remembering all the dynamics. I really hope all of us can obtain a Silver standard this year.
To all the members: Make the choir proud by not making the usual mistakes and ending up in a Bronze again or even COP. This is the first time the choir is in SATB for SYF and could be the last so make the best out of it.

Happy Belated Birthday Choon Tat.
I have known him for the past 2 years. He is always being bullied by his own friends from his previous class. Sometimes he tells jokes that are really cold but who can stand studies without some cold jokes to direct your attention away from studies? He can be a rather good friend actually. He has finally found his happiness and I wish him all the best.
I'll combine the event that happened on Awards Night earlier on.
Had choir practice from 3.30-5pm+ before heading to the hall. The award winners headed to the food area to eat first as they would not have time to eat afterwards. The food was quite nice. Then the other choir members came down. They had their dinner and then all of us waited for our turn to start performing. Today's performance was much better than the previous one. After all the award winners received their certificate, we went to change back and left the music room. I can't believe I left my A Maths textbook in the school.
@ 12:35 AM
Two down, one more to go.
Just finished my wushu competition. Saw Quan Yifeng and Desmond Koh there. Did rather badly. Got only 7.1 due to the fact that I lost balance. My event started at 1.30pm and I waited for my friend until about 7-8pm. In between, there were some nice routines done by other people. For example, Marcus from my school. his brother did the cudgel 2nd international routine and he was very good. There was this girl from the A-Girls Spear 2nd international routine, she got a high score of 8.7. Her routine was the best among all the girls. I would like to extend my congrats to the following people.
Congrats Jaryl on getting Gold for Changquan 1st international and Spear 1st international.
Congrats Crystalla on getting Gold for Cudgel 2nd international.
Congrats Guo Hong on getting Bronze for Spear 2nd international.

Dog-tired, bloody f***king tired, super-mega-ultra-tired, what else are there?
Miss a whole day of lesson today. Did the Chinese test in the morning during the first two lessons. The comprehension part was rather difficult. Then went to eat and changed to the choir costume. Once everything was settled, we left for Victoria Concert Hall. At there, we heard the North Vista Choir singing their SYF songs. Then it was our turn at 10.30am. The same thing happened today like what happened during the school assembly. Some of the sections were not following the conductor's tempo. In the end, he was rather pissed off and said he would reduce the choir size on Friday after the Awards Night. Then we left VCH at 12pm. I left on my own by taxi to Manjusri Secondary School for the Wushu competition. Once there, I saw some of my Wushu friends there. Some of them were competing while the others were cheering. I was the 16th competitor for the 4-duan spear routine. In the end, my overall score for that routine was 7.91, which was not what I expected to be as I did not make any mistake in the routine but I realized I did it rather slow. At least now I know what it is like in the competition. Hopefully I won't make much mistakes for the Changquan routine tomorrow. Then took the MRT back to Yew Tee. The awards nite rehearsal was still going on. Then left for home nearing 6pm.

Just came back from choir about an hour ago.
Today wasn't my day I supposed. During the morning assembly, we, the people in the GO, did not get the queue from outside to start the national anthem, which resulted in scolding from Mr Chew. Then after PE, had A Maths test. I was unable to solve most of the 3-4 marks question, which resulted in a minimum of 11 marks gone. Then during Chemistry lesson, Mr Shanmugan said he will be our form teacher for the rest of term 2. During History lesson, Ms Yong, 4/8 English teacher came in and said only a few people passed the English comprehension test. Then assembly and had oral after that. I don't feel like elaborating on it, just that my passage reading was quite well. The conversation part was not very well done. Had choir after that from 5.00-8.00pm.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Having 4 test tomorrow. English test will be taken in the morning at around 7.30am. Followed by Geography test on the formation on Delta after morning assembly. Then will be having biology test before recess. Taking the CL test after school. Luckily there is nothing to study for CL test and English test.

OMG!!!!! My sunburn is killing me. In a few more days, I will be competing for the first time in the Wushu competition. Hopefully my sunburn will eventually stop paining me before that. I will be missing quite a few lessons this week. First is on Wednesday. Will be leaving classroom at 8.55am and heading for VCH for rehearsal from 10.30am to 12pm. Not following the choir back to school after that. Competition starts 2.35pm. Something that is causing me to not look forward to that day is that there is so much to bring. My Wushu shoes, Black Shoe, Wushu costume, Choir Costume and my spear. On Thursday, my competition starts 1.30pm so I will be leaving the class at about 11.10am, after recess. Hope I can get in the top 5 at least for either one of the routine.
On Your Own - Land Before Time VI: Secret of Saurus RockWhen you're on your own
Life is so exciting
When you're on your own
The world is big and wide
You can do what you want
And go wherever you like
With just your shadow by your side
When you're on your own
You can yell and laugh and holler
When you're on your own
You're feeling strong and free
You can play all night
And sleep all day
And be whatever you want to be
You can be hero
Bold and brave
With lots of grand adventure
And a whole world to save
When you're on your own
You have to be a grown-up
Cause there's no one there
To tell you what to do
And you'll miss friends
When day night ends
And there's no one there to care for you
It's kinda lonely
When you're on your own
When you're on your own
When you're on your own
This song is actually depicts about the life I am having now, which is why I decided to post this out.

Today has been a rather long day.
Met Wei Cheng, Xian Feng, Choon Tat, and Alvin at Yew Tee for breakfast at 8am. I reached at about 8.30am. Then after that Hui Jie arrived then Syafiq. Jia Hao and Monica were also going with us. We were took the train to Harbourfront and then went to Sentosa via the Sentosa Express. The entry pass cost $3. This Sentosa trip was initially planned for the 4/4 people. But as not enough people were going, they invited other people as well. We met the others at Siloso Beach where they were playing. The people there were: Gabriel, Delwin, Wei Li, Lewis, Qing He, She Tqi, Ren Jie and Chun Yong. We played Frisbee and soccer there. When we were about to leave, Chee Yang and Delson arrived. We had lunch at Long John Silver in Vivo City. After that, some of us went over to Wei Cheng house whlie Xian Feng went to find his girlfriend. I went home first to take a quick shower and also doing the laundry. Then I went to Yew Tee McDonalds to buy dinner and headed to Wei Cheng house. They were having a movie marathon there. We watched movie and played computer until about 11pm, nearing midnight before going off.
Just realized this is my 61st post. I might be moving this blog to a new server after the 100th post or most probably during the June holidays.

One lesson that I learned recently is that never to give your secret out to people who are not able to keep their big mouth shut.
I'm sure the person knows who he/she is. What makes you think you can just give out other people's secret without getting their consent? People trust you enough to let you know the secret so you can keep to yourself, not making it big. Just because you are not happy with me, doesn't mean that you can blurt it out. And you just have to give away the surprise. Some other people may know it but they keep to themselves. They don't go around opening their mouth and say it out loud. You just have no sense of privacy. You think doing so can benefit either one of us? You don't think before you do. There are still many things I can say about you but I will be kind enough to stop here.
I know this might attract flamers or spammers but I don't give a damn about it. So flamers and spammers just don't waste your time here.

Changed the blog song again.
Colourblind - Darius Danesh
Feeling blue
When I’m trying to forget the feeling
That I miss you
Feeling green
When the jealousy swells and it won’t
Go away in dreams
Feeling yellow
I’m confused inside
A little hazy but mellow
When I feel your eyes on me
Feeling fine, sublime
When that smile of yours creeps into my mind
Nobody told me it feels so good
Nobody said you’d be so beautiful
Nobody warned me about your smile
You’re the light
You’re the light
When I close my eyes
I’m colourblind
You make me colourblind
Feeling red
When you spend all your time with your friends
And not me instead
Feeling black
When I think about all of the things that
I feel I lack
Feeling jaded
When it’s not gone right
All the colours have faded
Then I feel your eyes on me
Feeling fine, sublime
When that smile of yours creeps into my mind
Nobody told me it feels so good
Nobody said you’d be so beautiful
Nobody warned me about your smile
You’re the light
You’re the light
When I close my eyes
I’m colourblind
You make me colourblind
Blinded by the light you shine
The colours fade completely
Blinded by you everytime
I feel your smile defeat me
I’m colourblind
I just can’t deny this feeling
Nobody told me it feels so good
Nobody said you’d be so beautiful
Nobody warned me about your smile
You’re the light
You’re the light
When I close my eyes
I’m colourblind
Nobody told me it feels so good
Nobody said you’d be so beautiful
Nobody warned me about your smile
You’re the light
You’re the light
When I close my eyes
I’m colourblind
You make me colourblind
You make me colourblind

Henderson Secondary School Choral ExchangeForgot to post about it yesterday. The exchange went rather well. We reached Henderson Secondary School at about 2pm and then we proceeded to the hall. Some other choirs were there as well. We saw some of our NDP friends there.
-Henderson Secondary School
-Bowen Secondary School
-Chai Chin Secondary School
-First Toa Payoh Secondary School
-Beatty Secondary School
-Bishan Park Secondary School
-Serangoon Garden Secondary School
-North Vista Secondary School
-Unity Secondary SchoolOur choir was the second to sing. It went at the correct speed and mostly correct pitch. We got more positive than negative comments. The girls sang quite well and the boys could have been better if they followed the dynamics properly. After that, we went back to school and some of us headed to Lot 1 for dinner.
